Updated Website now Online

As of March 14th 2012, we have launched our new multi-media based website. We have also included on our site a theme song for all Fibromyalgia and ME/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Patients. The song is entitled “Who knows me better than me” and was written by one of our supporters, Mr. James Blondeau. The song is meant to help patients and caregivers alike. We hope that you enjoy it.

When you visit the website take time to look at the videos and events section. These are the new areas of focus. In events, especially the essay competition that we ran last year in Canada. We had a number of essays submitted by medical students at an early stage in their academic career. This is aimed at getting their minds interested and aware of FM and ME/CFS at an early stage. This year we will repeat the essay competition but with the topic being ME/CFS. On the video section you will find a new Q&A style QuickClips section that lets you hear from real patients, caregivers and doctors about many different aspects of living with ME/CFS and/or FMS.

Of note on research this week is a post on co-cure about a Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Randomized, Clinical Trial of the TLR-3 Agonist Rintatolimod in Severe Cases of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It makes some interesting conclusions that are potentially helpful to the ME/CFS community.

Note: Rintatolimod is more commonly known as Ampligen.

I wish you all a good week and if that isn’t the case I wish you a speedy recovery to better days.
